再レビュー

一週間前に再投稿した論文、昨晩ようやくエディターから、レビュワーに送ったよっていうメールが来た。こないだの1st decisionでactive considerationから外されたので、今回は再投稿ではあるのだがnew submissionの扱い、ということでもう一度、editorial staff and academic editorによる評価を通してからレビュワーに送られたらしい。慎重やね。

で、メールの最後に「we encourage you to submit your manuscript to bioRxiv.org, or another preprint server of your choice.」とのお言葉。こういうのは初めて見たけど、最近はこういうレビュープロセスの間に bioRxiv のようなプレプリントサーバーで先にパブリッシュすることを推奨してるのかね。このジャーナルだけなのかな。

「We support submission to preprint servers as we believe it is important to make science available as immediately as possible.  Editors will check for comments and discussion on your preprint submission and may take these into account when making a decision on your manuscript.」ということで、こういうオンラインでのプレプリントに対するコメントやデスカッションを審査の過程で考慮に入れるんだそうな。でも bioRxiv の論文を見ていると、実際にコメント欄でディスカスされるようなことはあんまりなくて、付いているのはたいがいTwitterでの引用ばっかりだけど、どんなもんなんかね。
ま、なんにせよ、また一ヶ月くらい待たなあかんね。
